Check out this new video from the Natural Resources Defense Council - narrated by Hollywood actor Kevin Bacon - on the battle to protect BC's iconic Spirit Bear and its habitat in the Great Bear Rainforest from the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline and supertankers loaded with Alberta bitumen. The 1 min video, entitled "Big Oil Threatens the Spirit Bear Coast", includes footage from BC filmmakers Ian McAllister and Damien Gillis, and is further evidence of the growing international interest in the Enbridge issue.

Ok so UBER Hippies come up with a viable alternative. Now I am from the West Coast and love my home area, I am also a lover of the outdoors weather just hiking or fishing. You must remember we must be able to keep our economy rolling. I would love to have had the wind generation that was proposed in Georgia straight but to many people complained it would be sight pollution. What I am saying is quit complaining bring something viable to the table. This pipeline is an economic necessity, the revenue generated by this and other projects will pay for all yo fuzzy friendly social programs.

There has been talk, of logging the rain forests as well. The dirty oil Enbridge pipeline and the dirty oil tankers, will become an extreme civil disobedience. This we will fight to the last ditch. We are in the thousands of BC citizens, who will support the F.N. People.

Our beautiful Spirit Bears, the unique small wolves, and all the species of wildlife in the Rain Forest. Thank you Kevin Bacon, for speaking up for our Spirit Bears. These bears are a sacred culture to our F.N. citizens too.

We also say, thank you, to Robert Redford, for speaking up against the dirty oil pipelines. He was so struck by the beauty of this province and Vancouver. He said, what a shame to destroy it all by, dirty oil pipelines and dirty oil tankers.

We owe, a very huge, huge thank you to Rafe and Damien. Without all of your hard work and research, where would we be? BC would become a polluted wasteland without your dedication, to save our beautiful province, and all the wildlife that call this province home.

It's so sad that we are willing to sacrifice all creatures for the sake of a dollar

Oil pipelines and tankers going through our beautiful pristine environment is an obscenity, when you consider the likely scenario of spills ruining and destroying the forests and the animals. In the horrors of wars and bombing cities, at least the people can re-build. It would take mother earth thousands of years to rebuild what she had so beautrifully created. Oil CEO's and their bought politicians are sociopaths full of greed and hubris.
